Behind USP Steels is a dedicated team of over 110 people, united by a shared ambition to deliver exceptional service, drive innovation and continually improve. From our warehouse operatives and processing teams to sales, marketing, transport, production, quality, finance, IT and management, every department plays a vital role in keeping our business moving. Together, they ensure our customers receive the right steel, processed to their requirements and delivered when they need it. Our people have been instrumental in USP's growth, helping transform the business from its beginnings in 2016 into the UK's largest independent steel sheet and plate stockholder. Their knowledge, hard work and willingness to go the extra mile have helped us build lasting customer relationships, increase processing capabilities and achieve significant milestones. We're equally committed to developing the next generation of talent. With seven apprentices representing approximately 6% of our workforce, we're investing in practical skills, recognised qualifications and long-term career opportunities. USP Steels was established in 2016 with a clear ambition: to challenge the traditional approach to steel stockholding and build an independent business that puts customers, service and flexibility first. What began as an ambitious vision has grown into the UK's largest independent steel sheet and plate stockholder, built through determination, strategic investment and a willingness to do things differently. Our journey hasn't simply been about increasing turnover or tonnage. It's been about building the infrastructure, relationships and expertise needed to support sustainable growth. From developing strong partnerships with leading European steel mills to investing in advanced processing equipment, every milestone has strengthened our ability to deliver for customers. One of our most significant achievements has been expanding our in-house processing capabilities, giving customers greater flexibility, faster turnaround times and access to an extensive range of steel products. In 2025, we took another major step forward with the acquisition of our new headquarters at Pedmore Road, Dudley. This investment represents the next chapter in our growth, bringing together our people, stockholding and processing operations while creating the space for further expansion. Our progress has been made possible by a dedicated team, loyal customers and trusted suppliers who have supported us throughout our journey. Together, we've navigated changing market conditions, industry challenges and periods of rapid growth without losing sight of what matters most: delivering on our promises. As we celebrate our tenth anniversary in 2026, we're proud of how far we've come, but even more excited about what's ahead. With two additional decoiling lines arriving in 2027, we're continuing to invest in the capacity, technology and people needed to shape our future.
