About Kay

I’m a passionate and driven professional who believes that people, technology and innovation have the power to transform organisations. What motivates me is the opportunity to challenge conventional thinking, solve complex problems and create meaningful, lasting improvements. I’m naturally curious and constantly looking for ways to work smarter, embrace new ideas and push the boundaries of what’s possible within HR. I’m particularly passionate about the evolving role of technology in HR. I believe that automation, data and innovation should do more than improve efficiency; they should give people back valuable time to focus on what matters most. Equally, leadership is something I take incredibly seriously. I believe in creating an environment where people feel confident to challenge ideas, take ownership and develop their potential. Seeing others succeed is one of the most rewarding parts of what I do. I’m ambitious, resilient and hold myself to high standards, but I also recognise the importance of empathy, integrity and remaining approachable. Receiving three nominations across HR, technology leadership and management is an incredible honour. Each represents something I’m genuinely passionate about, and together they reflect the values that drive me every day. For me, success isn’t simply about what I achieve, but the positive impact I can create and the opportunities I can open up for others.

About Kay's team

Behind every achievement is a team of people who make it possible. I’m incredibly fortunate to work alongside talented, passionate individuals who genuinely care about making a difference. My team brings together expertise across HR Operations, HR Systems, Payroll, Reward and Project Management, supporting a global organisation across 22 countries. Together, we simplify processes, embrace technology, drive change and improve the experience of our people. What makes me proudest isn’t just what we achieve, but how we achieve it. We challenge each other, share ideas, navigate difficult situations and support one another through change. Much of what we do happens quietly behind the scenes, but the impact is felt across the business. As a leader, I don’t believe in having all the answers. I believe in creating an environment where people feel trusted, valued and empowered to grow. Some of my proudest moments have been watching colleagues gain confidence, find their voice and achieve things they didn’t think possible. I’m incredibly proud of the resilience, dedication and care my team demonstrates every day. They remind me that great leadership isn’t about individual success, but about helping others succeed. While being nominated for these awards means so much, I know I wouldn’t be where I am without the brilliant people I’ve had the privilege of working alongside. Their achievements are every bit as important as my own.

The journey

My career in HR hasn’t followed a perfectly mapped-out path. It’s been shaped by hard work, determination, taking opportunities and pushing myself outside my comfort zone, often before I felt ready. I started as an HR Administrator, learning the foundations of HR and developing a passion for people. I became curious about why things were done a certain way and whether there was a better way. That curiosity led me into HR systems, process improvement and transformation, where I discovered how much of a difference the right processes and technology can make. Over the years, I’ve progressed into leadership and today I lead HR Transformation and Global Operations within a technology organisation spanning 22 countries. Something I’m incredibly proud of when I look back at where I started. But the journey hasn’t always been easy. I’ve faced challenges, difficult decisions and moments of self-doubt. There have been times when I’ve questioned whether I was good enough or ready for the next step. I’ve learnt that growth rarely happens inside your comfort zone and that believing in yourself is sometimes the hardest part. Some of my proudest moments haven’t been promotions or major projects. They’ve been watching people I’ve supported grow in confidence, seeing teams come together through difficult times and knowing that changes I’ve made have improved someone’s working day. My journey has taught me that leadership isn’t about having all the answers. It’s about listening, being authentic, challenging things when they can be better and creating opportunities for others to succeed. If you’d told the HR Administrator I once was that she’d be nominated for three awards recognising women in HR, management and technology leadership, I’m not sure she’d have believed you. I still don’t know who nominated me, but I’m incredibly grateful. Whatever happens, I’m proud of how far I’ve come and excited about what’s still to come.

Why your vote matters

I hope people will vote for me because my journey shows what can be achieved through hard work, determination and a genuine passion for making a difference. I started my career as an HR Administrator and have worked my way into a global leadership role, leading HR Transformation and Operations across 22 countries. It hasn’t always been easy, and there have been moments of self-doubt, but I’ve never stopped learning, challenging myself or wanting to do better. What drives me isn’t job titles or recognition. It’s making a difference to people, whether that’s improving employee experiences, challenging outdated ways of working or helping someone recognise their potential. I believe great leadership isn’t about having all the answers. It’s about being authentic, approachable, empowering others and genuinely caring about the people around you. I’m still learning and growing every day. If my journey inspires even one woman to believe in herself and pursue opportunities she once thought were out of reach, that means everything. I’d be incredibly grateful for your vote and the opportunity to celebrate the people who have helped shape my journey.
