About Dani

I believed that everyone deserves to be treated with kindness, love and respect, no matter where they come from or what they are going through. My faith is a big part of who I am and has taught me that life is not just about what we achieve for ourselves, but also about what we can do for others. I genuinely believe that we all have something to give, whether that is our time, our skills, a listening ear or simply showing someone that they matter. As Acting Director of Operations and Partnerships at Carriers of Hope, I have the privilege of working with refugees, asylum seekers and families who are going through incredibly difficult circumstances. Every day, I meet people who have faced challenges that many of us cannot imagine. Their strength, courage and determination inspire me. What I love most about my work is being able to make a difference in someone's life, even in the smallest ways. Sometimes that means helping a family access food, clothing or essential items. Other times, it is about listening to someone, encouraging them or helping them find opportunities to move forward. I am also incredibly grateful for the amazing team of staff and volunteers I work alongside. They give so much of themselves, often going above and beyond to help people in need. I believe leadership is about supporting others, working together and never asking someone to do something you wouldn't be willing to do yourself.
