CBS is a Stoke-on-Trent capital allowances specialist. We help commercial property owners across the UK identify tax relief that could be available on qualifying fixtures and fittings, which can improve their cash flow. What makes us different is how honest we are. We explain everything in plain English, and we’re upfront about what a claim can and can’t include. Clients are guided from first consultation through to submission, with a client success team who stay in touch long after the claim is done. Our motto is “Keeping Tax Simple”.

My job is to build a team people want to be part of, set clear standards and back them up. We’re small, friendly and supportive, and everyone takes pride in how clients are looked after. I expect a lot, and I try to be fair about it. When there are difficulties, we face them together and fix them. Since we launched in February 2025, we’ve supported 176 clients, and many come back to us for repeat claims and ongoing support

I’ve spent my career in capital allowances, and I now lead CBS as Managing Director. It’s a complicated area, and I’ve always believed it works best when someone explains it clearly and honestly. CBS is the result of that belief: a business built around plain English, straight answers and looking after clients from the first conversation to long after the claim is done. Along the way I’ve learned that people respect honesty, even when it isn’t what they hoped to hear. So we tell clients what will work and what won’t, and we deal with difficulties head on. What I’m proudest of is the team. They care about doing things properly, and that’s what clients notice.
