Vahid Javidroozi

A PhD researcher (close to submission) at Birmingham City University (BCU). PhD title is "Smart City as an Integrated Enterprise: A business process-centric framework addressing challenges in systems integration". Through this PhD research, Vahid has developed a framework for smart city development by applying a combination of systems engineering, systems thinking, and critical realism principles. Vahid obtained BSc Computer Science in 2009. He also acquired his MSc Enterprise Systems Management with distinction on May 2012. During and after this MSc course, he also did several research projects mainly in the domain of systems engineering, such as enterprise systems and systems integration. The most significant and comprehensive research in this field has been his MSc dissertation, which was entitled: ‘Enterprise Systems Integration: Challenges, Current, and Future Solutions’. He has also attended 180 hours SAP ERP course (Theory and Practical) and awarded SAP ERP associate consultant certificate. He is currently researching on his PhD project and some other projects related to smart cities and Enterprise Systems Integration (ESI). In addition, he works as a lecturer in BCU. He is also a committee member of International Conference on Smart Systems, Devices, and Technologies.
